Richard A. Beller, M.D.

Richard A. Beller received his undergraduate degree in Biology with Honors and Distinction and Music from Stanford University in 1973. He received his M.D. degree from Stanford University Medical Center in 1978. He then completed an internship at St Mary's Hospital in San Francisco. After a three year residency in Ophthalmology at the University of California Medical Center in San Francisco, he moved to Napa, California to begin his practice, and has been in here for over twenty years.

Dr. Beller has strong roots in comprehensive ophthalmology, providing medical and surgical care for cataract and glaucoma, as well as a host of other conditions. He has a special interest in retinal diseases, including diabetic retinopathy and age related macular degeneration. Facilities for advanced care with forefront technology are available for these conditions at the community level. He has been recognized as a Top Bay Area Physician in 2004 by his peers.

Dr. Beller has maintained an interest in jazz music and continues to study and perform on the vibraphone. His interest in music and the arts finds a bountiful home in the Napa Valley.

Paul Row, M.D.

Paul Row received his Bachelor of Science degree in zoology at Andrews University with honors and Summa Cum Laude in 1995. He received his medical degree from Loma Linda University in 1999 and completed his ophthalmology residency at Loma Linda in 2003. He then completed a fellowship in Cornea, External Disease and Refractive Surgery at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in 2004. He obtained his board certification from the American Board of Ophthalmology in 2005. Dr. Row moved to the Bay area in 2004 and practices comprehensive ophthalmology with an emphasis in cornea and refractive surgery in the greater Walnut Creek/Concord area.

Dr. Row joins The Eye Care Center of Napa Valley with experience in the areas of refractive surgery, corneal disease, and ocular surface reconstruction. Dr. Row has an interest in ongoing research and participates in numerous clinical trials and patient safety panels in the Bay area.

Dr. Row lives in the Bay area with his wife and family. He enjoys anything outdoors and his hobbies include rock climbing, skiing and cycling. Dr. Row also has a place in his heart for mission work, and recently built homes in Indonesia after the earthquake and tsunami devastation of 2004.

Arun Prasad, M.D.

Arun Prasad received his undergraduate degree in psychology while completing his premedical courses, graduating magna cum laude with Phi Beta Kappa honors at the University of Southern California in 1997.  He received his medical degree also at the University of Southern California in 2003.  While at USC for medical school, he completed a one-year research fellowship in pathology.  He completed a transitional medical internship at Sinai-Grace Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan in 2004 and went on to complete his residency in ophthalmology at the Kresge Eye Institute, Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University in 2007.   He then did a clinical fellowship in glaucoma under Dr. George Spaeth and Dr. L. Jay Katz at the Wills Eye Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Dr. Prasad received his board certification in 2010.

Dr. Prasad moved to the Bay Area after completing his training.  Although his roots are in Southern California, he loves Northern California and enjoys living here with his wife and daughter.  Dr. Prasad practiced for two years in Vacaville, where he practiced both general ophthalmology as well as glaucoma, before joining The Eye Care Center of Napa Valley. 

Dr. Prasad joins The Eye Care Center of Napa Valley with experience in the clinical and surgical management of routine ocular conditions as well as complex glaucoma.  He has experience in the most advanced procedures as well the latest surgical innovations related to glaucoma.  He has several publications to his name and has given presentations at various venues.  He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society.

Dr. Prasad has done a number of volunteer activities in the community.  In his free time, he enjoys exploring the Napa Valley and the rest of Northern California, traveling around the world, playing tennis, playing the piano, listening to classical music, and spending time with his family.
